We recently had the opportunity to build a fully custom Electric Road Bike for Rolf Dietrich, founder of Rolf Prima wheels, a renowned premium wheel deign and manufacturing company that has been building high end cycling wheels for many years. Rolf has ridden hundreds of high end bikes and seen many handmade titanium bikes in his long career in the bike industry. It was an honor for us to be chosen to build his custom e-bike.
A happy customer sent us an email reviewing his new Custom e-bike. We worked with this customer who had some body mechanic issues to build a great custom bike. He did the Gold Medal Bike fit that includes an initial fit with Lennard Zinn followed by a full body analysis and 3D retul fit with Larry Meyer at BUILD sports performance lab in Louisville.
Justin sent us an email reviewing his new Clydesdale e-bike, the Whip. It was built with our new super-strong, carbon Duro fork.
We loved hearing from Jan, for whom we made a custom, step-through travel road bike. This bike has z-couplers, allowing the bike to be taken apart for travel. These couplers integrate so smoothly into the frame, they are almost invisible! The step-through design solves for mobility issues that accompany longevity and/ or injuries. At Zinn Cycles, we build step-through bikes that perform to the level of any other custom bike with the benefit of accessibility.
This bike was a really cool project. Lester Binegar, CFO of our favorite local Boulder Bike shop, University bikes, came to us with the idea to build his dream e-bike. Ubikes has been a cycling institution in Boulder for ages, so it was really cool to be able to build a bike for Lester. His idea was to make an electric mountain bike that would be great for commuting, trail riding, and gravel riding and we wanted to keep it as light as we could. Under 40lbs was the request, and we knew this would be a challenge.
This year we had the pleasure of building a custom titanium ebike for a really nice woman in Georgia. She contacted us because she is retired from working at UGA, and does a lot of long supported group rides with friends. She decided she needed and ebike since many of her friends had them and she wanted to be able to keep up with them. Below is her review of the new bike after some big rides.
We rode 47 miles on Sunday. Beautiful sunny day and my new Miss Eggplant rode beautifully!! I'm in love. The shifting works like a dream and I like how the handle bars are. Many options to move my hands around. I feel the frame is perfect..I still might raise the seat just a tiny bit. Both Rodney and I were very moved by how you are just the same as when we first met you. Your working space in your garage, the simplicity, the ease, comfort and genuine being you are. Hey lennard - this stuff rocks! i am sure you will have success with it. i am also the race director for the UB515 series in brasil - we have three large events with a lot of good sponsorship. i will put the word around that you are still making stuff like my 190mm cranks !!!! those cranks have about a million race miles on them, with finishes as high as 3rd OA at ultraman canada, and 2nd OA at Ironman Revisited. i also won the ultraman world championship for my age group twice on them. i can see them from where i am sitting - my Cervelo R3SL is hanging from the ceiling in the front office : ) i loved being able to get you guys out on the water, i wished i had gotten out there too, but it was one of those weeks. next time! as for C19, Kona is of course so far off the beaten path no self-respecting virus would make it here. we have 5 cases, no-one has been hospitalized. i suspect that is the worst of it. stay safe and i'll talk to yhou soon, [/fusion_text][/fusion_builder_column][/fusion_builder_row][/fusion_builder_container]
